How to Start your Puppy Off Right in Every Way!

You’ve got a new puppy or you are thinking about getting one. It's the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen and your maternal instincts are oozing! That’s good because that love is what will get you through its puppyhood in one piece. The most common comment I hear from new puppy owners is "What was I thinking?!"

Puppy's are precious, but the first thing we realize is that unlike babies they are walking already when we take them home and they can get into trouble just as fast as a  toddler. And just like toddlers, they get tired, hungry, cranky and need rules.

The sad truth is that the vast number of dogs (including expensive purebreds) who eventually get surrendered to the SPCA's are there because they never had the benefit of early training. Start them off right and you have a happy, well behaved dog in the making that will be welcomed everywhere for the years to come.
